
Gathering
in the Gap" will be held on and around the
grounds of the Southwest Virginia Museum,
Town of Big Stone Gap open space area on
Poplar Hill, and the C. Bascom Slemp Library
grounds. West First Street north and
parts of Shawnee and Cherokee Avenue in the
Poplar Hill section of town will be blocked
to through traffic. The front museum
lot will be reserved for handicapped
parking. Parking for all other event
participants will be at two locations:
C. Bascom Slemp Library, next to the museum,
or Bullitt Park. A free shuttle bus
will run from 10 am - 10 pm from Bullitt
Park to the Southwest Virginia Museum.
Participants are encouraged to walk or ride
from Bullitt Park!
"Please Note: Gathering in the Gap, 2008 is an alcohol-free event. Open beverages and coolers are not allowed. Food and soft drinks will be available for sale."
